Overview
The Emergency First Response (EFR) training is the ideal preparation if you wish to be ready for any circumstance. The course meets the CPR and first-aid criteria for the PADI Rescue Diver course as well as all other professional-level ratings. Many PADI courses, such as the PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Divemaster, require that divers have completed the EFR course as a prerequisite. The EFR course will concentrate on increasing confidence and willingness to respond in the event of a medical emergency. In a pleasant and non-stressful learning setting, participants will understand the importance of emergency care step by step and practice implementing skills. To aid students in learning, the course will include self-study manuals, videos, and fast reference cards. Independent study is also required in this course to prepare for classroom as well as practical skill development sessions with the instructor.
About the Courses
Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) are two Emergency First Response (EFR) courses that consist of a one-day classroom session. Participants will learn how to respond to life-threatening emergencies in Primary Care (CPR). Participants will obtain the knowledge and confidence they need to respond to any medical emergency through a combination of knowledge development, skill development, and realistic scenario practice. The Secondary Care (First Aid) course addresses injuries and illnesses that aren't life threatening right away. Through knowledge growth, skill development, and realistic scenario practice, participants will primarily focus on secondary assessment and first aid.
