A’Famosa Resort is located in Alor Gajah, Malacca (Melaka). The place was named after the 16th century Portuguese fort of the same name which stood near the harbour of Malacca city. It is situated on 1,300 acres (530 ha) land and consists of a 27-hole golf course, Water Theme Park, Safari Wonderland, a night entertainment attraction called Old West, a Resort Hotel, and few blocks of condotels and villas.

Safari Wonderland
The Safari Wonderland is a wildlife safari that offers close encounters with more than 100 species of animals. It features Safari Adventure, a ride on a raft to Monkey Island, a Walk-through Area to experience animals up close, Farm House, Orangutans of Borneo, and Reptile House. The park also hosts several animal shows, such as Elephant Encounter, Multi Animal Fun Time, Colour of the Bird and Wild Wild West Show.

A’Famosa Old West
Featuring various entertainment outlets, such as restaurants, a 4D theatre, fun fair, children theme park, a shopping village, etc., the “Old West” showcases rustic buildings, antiques, cowboys and cowgirls, country songs, and stunt shows. There is also a nightly carnival which consists of an animal musical parade, dancing performance, fire-blowing act, and fireworks.

Sports and Recreation

By Car
A’Famosa Resort is 1 hour 15 minutes or 113 kilometres drive from Kuala Lumpur via North-South Expressway E2.
The quickest way to get from Singapore to A’Famosa is to drive, which takes about 2 hours 41 minutes.
By Bus
From Bus Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, take a 1 hour 45 minutes bus ride that runs twice daily to Alor Gajah. From Alor Gajah bus station, take a short taxi ride to A’Famosa Resort.
There is also shuttle service departing from KLIA and KLIA2.
From Singapore, the shuttle service is run by Golden Coach Express departing from City Plaza Singapore and Concorde Shopping Center; while KKKL Travel and Tours depart from Kovan Hub, Tampines MRT Exit B and Bugis MRT Exit D.
By Train
From KL Sentral station, take a train to Pulau Sebang. From Pulau Sebang, take a 15 minutes taxi ride to reach A’Famosa Resort or take the free shuttle service.
